Cranky is dripping wet in the cold November rain of the temperate rain forest. He sputters his thanks all the way from the woods of the Pacific Northwest to those who have nobly commented regarding his videos and his person. When he dries out, he will be thrilled to post more wit and wisdom.

Remember AIDS? Remember those emaciated walking cadavers who claimed they were "Persons Living With AIDS (PLWA)? Well now, since AIDS is ignored, relegated to obscurity in Darkest Africa and the Inscrutable Orient, nobody sees PLWAs (or PWAs) in the Developed World. They are all living well, we are told, with the help of new miracle drug cocktails.

However, all is not well with People Lingering With AIDS. We are the ones who had the bad timing of getting sick after AIDS went out of fashion. No compassionate movie stars, no gala benefits, no beautiful death surrounded by friends chanting "go to the light," no teddy bears, no drama at all. We have to make do with the same boring ailments other ageing people get--fallen arches, bad breath and ordinary cancer. You know what people would say to a depiction of the emotional ups and downs of a fat old fag or a drug fiend--that's so gay!
